The House of Music Therapy warmly invites you to the return of our Virtual Music Therapy camps! Dive into our 2023 edition titled "Falling Leaves & Rising Notes: Growing Through Music." Crafted for children and teens with developmental needs, this camp is a harmonious blend of autumnal themes and therapeutic music experiences, meticulously curated by our Board-Certified Music Therapists. Journey with us as campers delve into a multisensory musical world. From tactile to visual, auditory to proprioceptive stimulations, each activity resonates with exploration and discovery. Beyond honing sensorimotor skills, our camp fosters cognitive growth by introducing new abilities and nurturing innate creativity. Collaboration is at our camp's heart, where turn-taking, sharing, and collective endeavors harmonize. Here's a glimpse of what's in store: - Crafting a "Fall Stew" with eclectic found objects. - Graceful dancing to the rhythm of autumn. - Echoing campfires with both fresh and beloved songs. - Engaging tales through singable books. - A symphony of hands-on found object (or real) music instrumental play. - ...and many more captivating experiences! At the core of our camp lies a mission: To foster socialization, boost communication, stimulate cognitive growth, and amplify sensorimotor development, all echoed in the rhythm of music. Our activities are not just fun but are also tailored to foster neuroplasticity and enhance sensory processing. Join us in a chorus of growth, discovery, and joy!
