Service Description

Our 2022 winter camp will consist of various musical activities that stimulate the senses. In this series of group music therapy we will provide an immersive virtual sensory experience for children and their families. Campers will explore sensorimotor skills through music-based activities involving visual, auditory, tactile, and proprioceptive stimulation. A few activities might include: Seasonal Scavenger Hunt Movement with Scarves Freeze Dance Singing Favorite Holiday Tunes Identifying sounds to “Do You Hear What I Hear?” Twinkling Lights Song with finger flashlights Stories like Charlie Crow in the Snow …and more! Our goals are to promote socialization, communication, cognitive development, and sensorimotor development. Various levels of participation are accepted & campers can partake at their own pace. Each activity is specifically created to promote neuroplasticity and sensory processing skills. Campers will receive an activity scarf and The House of Music Therapy therapeutic bag (for first time campers) in the mail.
